2021 is here and the uncertainty of the continuing COVID 19 virus is still affecting our daily lives. Due to many circumstances the Board of Directors for Team 224 has decided that the most prudent response would once again do a virtual ride for our main fundraiser Gateway Woods with the opportunity for a scaled back in-person ride depending on COVID conditions as the summer progresses. Many factors have influenced this decision and it was not an easy decision to make. Gateway Woods has announced they will have both a virtual auction and an in-person auction but are still working on the details for the event on their campus. Although many of our states are beginning to open many hotels still have social distancing restrictions and limits on group sizes which was another factor in our decision
We are looking forward to a "normal" 10 year anniversary ride in 2022.
Established in 2012 The Gateway Ride has grown to a two team multi-day event to raise money and awareness for Gateway Woods in Leo Indiana. Through their Christ-centered programs Gateway Woods provides help and healing to troubled children and families as well as adoption, foster care and many other services.
